one of the great adventures  in these mountains is looking for ginseng ( or seng as most locals would call it ) while a little scarce  it can be found with quite a bit of effort mind you .

some of my best times in these hills have be looking for ginseng "to make a few extra dollars"
but that's not all it's about the time spent there learning about nature and all it has to offer to me is what i'ts really all about you get to see and experience things that most people will never get to see like one of our wild  orchid Yellow Lady's Slipper (Cypripedium pubescens) 

  

which is very hard to find  and  a part of natures beauty along with many other plants and animals that I will try to share as I go along with this somewhat new experience of mine blogging
